Striders and Strollers

Today’s walk will start on the Beaver Trail (NCC 28) which is located on the west side of Moodie Drive between Fallowfield and West Hunt Club Roads.  Click on the WHERE link for Google Maps directions.

We will meet in the parking area for the Beaver Trail, which is identified as NCC P8 on the west side of Moodie Drive.  There is also a large sign identifying the trail at the access road to the parking area.  From Manotick, there are any number of routes to get to the Beaver Trail.  One could take Bankfield Road westward to Moodie Drive and turn right (north).  Another route would be to again take Bankfield Road, but turn right (north) on Route 416.  From the 416 northward take the exit at Fallowfield Road, turn left (west) on Fallowfield Road and cross Route 416.  The first road you come to is Moodie Drive and this intersection is equipped with a traffic light.  Turn right (north) on Moodie Drive and the Beaver Trail is located approximately 3.7 kilometres north of the intersection on the left (west) side.

For those who want to participate with the optional lunch or coffee, Tutti Frutti (4335 Strandherd Drive) is one of the closer restaurants.  It is located in the shopping area adjacent to Costco on the west side of Strandherd Drive off Cross Keys Place.
